This year, my top resolution was to stop getting in my own way. Getting in my own way looks like overanalyzing my blog posts, looking in the mirror and thinking I’m too fat in an outfit, deleting a pitch email thinking a brand would never want to hear from me and so much more. My 3 effective ways to stop getting in your own way this year will undoubtedly help you level up.
Maybe you feel frustrated that you’ve worked so hard but things are still the same or struggle with believing you can reach your financial goals. Getting in your own way looks different for everyone and hurts us all the same.
When it comes to making progress, we are often our own worst enemies. The majority of the time there’s no external factors stopping us from our gaols, it just ourselves.
It's a journey, but it will be worth it to become the best version of yourself, here are 4 effective ways to stop getting in your own way this year and beyond.

1. Believe In Yourself
Simple but effective, if you don’t believe you can get out of your own way, then you won’t. You have to make the decision to do it. If you don’t believe in yourself then who will?
2. Pour Into Yourself
We’re like plants, what water will grow. If you pour positive thoughts into yourself then those positive thoughts will start to flow and negate the negative ones. I love to do this by reading self-improvement/self-help books such as You’re A Bass Ass by Jen Sincero.
3. Journal Your Feelings & Thoughts
Put your thoughts out in front of you so you can understand why you’re feeling the way you feel. We are in our head all the time, but putting it down on paper so you can physically see your thoughts will help you reflect, understand yourself, and even ease away anxiety.
